Terms of Service

KANJI INK (operated by LUDO LLC) provides a free name→kanji tool and a paid curation service, THE NATIVE CURATOR (“the Service”). By using the Service you agree to these terms. Questions: support@kanjiink.com.

A reading is one native speaker's considered, subjective opinion offered as an act of craft — which character they would choose for your name, the reason, and one they set aside. It is not an official, authoritative, or legal ruling on your name, and it is not advice about tattoos, legal names, or documents. You decide what to do with it.

THE NATIVE CURATOR is ¥2,980 (tax included), charged at the time of your order via Stripe. A native delivers your reading by email within 3–5 business days. Full commercial-transaction details are on our 特定商取引法 page.

Each reading is a one-off, handmade commission. If you’d like a different character or another take, you’re welcome to order a fresh reading at any time (¥2,980each). Because the Service is a delivered digital good, completed readings aren’t refundable and we don’t offer change-of-mind cancellations once work has begun. If we ever fail to deliver — non-delivery or a technical fault on our side — contact us within 14days of the scheduled delivery date and we’ll refund you in full or re-send.

You confirm you have the right to submit the name, story, and other details you provide, and that they are not unlawful or infringing. You grant us permission to use them only to produce and deliver your reading and to operate the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Kanji characters themselves are part of the public writing system and are not owned by anyone. The reading we deliver is for your own personal use. The KANJI INK name, design, and site content are ours; please don't copy or resell the Service or pass our readings off as an official certification.

Don't use the Service to break the law, to harass others, or to attack, overload, or reverse-engineer the site. We may decline or stop service, and use the capacity controls and refunds above, if needed to keep the Service safe and sustainable.

The Service is provided as-is. Beyond the refund above, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of a reading. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
